BioWhat do you want to know about me? Weight, height, hair color, eye color, three sizes? Blood type, astrological sign?
I don't hand out personal information. People should get to like each other regardless of their jobs or backgrounds or looks - it's the personality that matters most, yeah? Besides, I don't think you really care. If you wanted to know what I looked like, you'd ask for a picture. If I wanted you to know what I looked like, I'd put one up.
How about this? I've tried my hand at Asian studies, religious studies, history, linguistics, archaeology & geology, graphic arts, web design, costume design, interior design, set design, stage management, performance. I'll never stop learning, and my interests are so wide and varied that LJ prompts me to remove some instead of adding more. Which I ignore; at some point, I'll reach the too-many limit, but until then, the list just keeps growing. But what I like in particular? That changes. Makes my chances of happy, steady, paying employment practically nil, but...
My perspective is basically that there's no point getting upset over what can't be helped, or holding on to the unpleasant past, because that kind of stuff can't be changed, and you'll only hurt yourself trying. Instead, enjoy today and look towards the tomorrows you can effect. It may not do a thing for worries and what-ifs, but I'm always able to move on. Eventually. Sometimes it takes a while, because hey, some things are scarring. But here's the other half of the point: there's no moral difference between any two people. That includes you, and that includes me. Nobody's inherently inferior; none of us deserve the crap that happens to us, any more than, say, the Dalai Lama. Or Mother Theresa. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, doesn't it?
